This recipe was fantastic. I made it with my homemade applesauce and was pleased with the small amount of sugar that was needed. I made one loaf and the rest into mini muffins. I also added chopped pecans. My family loves them and I will definitely put it into my permanent recipe book. Many thanks!

    WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I love double chocolate chip muffins. I was looking for a recipe as moist as "Spunkmeyers". When I found this recipe and tried it, it was perfect! Just as moist as my old muffins and this tastes like heaven made in my Grandma's kitchen years ago when I was a kid. Very easy to make and doesn't take all that long. Love the smell of the chips!

    Surprisingly Good

    ROSEMARY MCMILLAN from SUWANEE, GA

I wanted something besides the traditional pumpkin bread to give as little gifts at Christmas, so thought I'd give this a try. It is very good. I followed the cooking time on the recipe and the bread came out perfect. I froze them without the glaze, but of course, had to cut one loaf up to taste-test. I'm a chocoholic and I think the glaze will be wonderful as it was not as sweet as I usually prefer. But, for those that don't care for the sticky sweet taste, sans the glaze is very good.

    Quick, Easy and tastes great!!

    MELINDA SMITH from LINCOLN, IL

When I made this recipe I didn't glaze the loaves and it made them easy to freeze and share. I used the individual packages of applesauce that you would normal include in a childs lunch and it made it even easier to complete. Everyone who has tried this recipe has loved it and the bakers all want a copy of it.

    Very rich and sweet

    PAM IWAMOTO from ALBUQUERQUE, NM

After making this, comments were that it was good. Maybe a little too sweet, also very rich. It bakes very nicely and I made mini loaves as well as a large loaf. Glaze makes it look very fancy.

    These Little Guys ROCK!

Dianna Nadjkovic from OKLAHOMA CITY, OK

My kids love them! They are the perfect "after school snack" size and my children are thrilled because they each get their own "loaf" - no unfair sizing of slices or servings! Great warm with ice cream too.

    YUMMY!!!!

    Janice Bunselmeyer from ,

I made these delicious chocolate loaves for the first time for a bake sale. I wanted something that was a break from the normal fruit type breads that are typically sold at the sale. They were a huge hit! I have had so many compliments on them. They are incredibly moist and really hit the spot when you've got that craving for chocolate. I have even decided to give them as Christmas presents. Perfect!

    A true Delight for Guest

These were very tender and truly a delight to serve to special friends who stopped by. I put a little almond extract in the glaze to kick it up a little.
