Irresistible Brownies are delicious and easy to make. This is one of our "desert-safe" recipes to send to your loved one overseas. This recipe has been tested in our kitchen and does meet Middle East guidelines, as well as U.S. Postal Service mailing regulations.

Ingredients:

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2/3 cup butter-flavored vegetable shortening
2 cups granulated sugar
4 large eggs
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels

Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 350° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.

COMBINE flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt in small bowl. Beat shortening, sugar and eggs in large mixer bowl until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in morsels. Pour into prepared baking pan.

BAKE for 25 to 30 minutes, or until toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into squares.

I had made these brownies for my Fiance and his whole unit who are currently deployed. They came out AMAZING, and his whole unit is demanding more already! All I did to seal them was I filled up the gallon size zip lock bags half way, used a straw to suck all the air out of the bags, then sealed. They made it there as fresh as they did when I made them :) hope everyone enjoys this recipe, i know we did!

These are the best brownies I have ever eaten in my entire life. I make them frequently for a deployed loved one, but they usually don't end up with all of the brownies that were baked because we can't stop eating them as we're wrapping them up. I'd give this 100 stars if I could.

To me this is as easy as making with a mix! I have varied the type of chips I've used and even added pecans to a Marine I send to in Japan (at his request ... those Georgia boys want their pecans!). I tasted one before I sent and they are among the moistest brownies I've ever had. When I added the nuts, I decreased chips by 1 cup and added 1 cup chopped nuts. He said he made a lot of friends giving these away so I guess I'll be baking them often, and will make them for home too.

He said he and his buddies had received several shipments of brownies while they've been there, but these were by far the best. He said the others didn't survive the trip as well (or probably weren't as good to begin with). Both the texture and flavor were great. He said he shared them "grudgingly" with his platoon and they were enjoyed by all.

"I love 'em" is what my 6-1/2 year old daughters said after trying these. We used semi-sweet chocolate chips since we didn't have the white chips. These are very moist and a little crispy on the outside when barely warm! We made these to send to Daddy overseas.
