    Marvelous Mocha Brownies ever made!

Joey Ann Ray from Fort Wayne, IN

These brownies are so moist, rich, and simply amazing. I followed the recipe exactly-no changes are needed. My husband, who does not drink coffee tried them and said, ".. taste a little mocha-is there coffee in these brownies?" I am a coffee lover and the java brownies "hit the spot"!

    Best Mistake I Ever Made

    Esther Schainbaum from Philadelphia, PA

The first time I tried making these, I doubled the recipe, and the brownies were heaven! Dense, fudgy, rich - the works. Then I made a single batch a few weeks later and was so disappointed - they came out much more dry and ordinary-tasting. I double-checked the recipe and suddenly realized what I'd done: I'd forgotten to double the eggs when I originally doubled the recipe! So last weekend I made another double recipe with only 3 eggs, and voila - they were as wonderful as they'd been the first time! The moral of the story: If you're making a single batch, try using only 2 eggs, and if you're making a double, DON'T double the eggs.

    Great taste!

    Joanne Moomaw from BAIRD, TX

Very flavorful brownies with just the right amount of coffee flavor. Had a hard time getting the icing to "set" so they were very messy, but so very good!

I made these exactly except I added 1 teaspoon of vanilla to the batter. They turned out great especially with the unsweetened cocoa on top. Will be making these for Bunko soon.

This is a great change for brownies but we omitted the coffee in the icing too because it is too much caffine for kids to consume at one time.

These were easy to make in a minimum of time. The texture was dense and moist, a nice combination of chocolate and coffee. My 24 year old grandson got into them before dinner and pronounced them Great! I did not frost them for as we wanted them with ice cream. Coffee ice cream would go well with them.

The "cake" part of this recipe is very good, but the frosting is too sweet and overpowers the good taste of the cake.
