- 1 3/4 cups (11.5-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks, divided
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions, Reviews, Nutrition
MELT 2/3 cup chunks in microwave-safe bowl on HIGH power (100%) for 45 seconds; STIR. Chunks may retain some of their original shape. Microwave at additional 10- to 15-second intervals, stirring just until smooth.
SIFT flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt into medium bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar and granulated sugar in large mixer bowl until creamy. Add melted chocolate and mix well. Add egg and vanilla extract, mixing until well blended, about 1 minute. Add flour mixture, mixing just until blended. Stir in remaining chunks. Drop dough by level 1/4-cup measure 3 inches apart onto prepared baking sheets.
BAKE 16 to 18 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out with moist crumbs and the tops have a cracked appearance. Cool on baking sheets for 5 minutes. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Jumbo Chocolate Cookies
I have not yet tried any of your Chocolatier recipes but I must say Thank You for designing your pages so everything can be printed on one page. That's very Unlike many of the recipes I have printed in the past and will not do any more. Must go bake, Barbara Windmeyer aka Nana
Jumbo chocolate cookie
They are great. 5 stars
Lots of chocolate!
These cookies are so good! I love that they aren't overly sweet, the dark chocolate flavor really shines through. The fact that the recipe only makes 12 is probably a good thing too, you'll want to eat more than 1 for sure.
Chocolate Chunk Cookies
These were very easy to make and delicious! You must be a fan of dark chocolate, though! I made my cookies about the size of a tablespoon and I was able to get 30 cookies out of this recipe. I did shorten the baking time to about 13 minutes.
I love these cookies. I have made them a couple times and everyone raves. I made them for a work get together yesterday. I work with all women and you know how women love chocolate. Many were eatting 2-3 in a row! I did make them "normal" cookie size instead of the huge size that the recipe states. These are wonderfully easy to make. I actually make them in the food processor. It's great!
