These Kris Kringle Peanut Butter Cups are the perfect cookies to leave out with a glass of milk on that special night for Santa.

Ingredients

  • 36 NESTLÉ BUTTERFINGER Jingles, unwrapped
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

PREHEAT oven to 375° F.



BEAT brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter and peanut butter in large mixer bowl until combined. Beat in egg and vanilla extract. Gradually beat in flour and baking soda.



DROP dough by rounded teaspoon into ungreased mini-muffin cups.



BAKE for 8 to 10 minutes. Remove from oven; gently press 1 Nestlé Jingle into each cup. Cool in pans on wire racks for 10 minutes. Remove cookies from muffin cups with a butter knife. Serve warm or cool completely on wire racks.




NOTE: Try substituting NESTLÉ CRUNCH Jingles.

I actually made these cookies for a Halloween party that my fiancee and I hosted. Instead of the Jingle Bell chocolates I dropped in large chocolate morsels. They were a hit! I did not realize that so many people would like them. My favorite part of baking them was the cleanup of the tray. There was none thanks to the cupcake liners. I used the foil ones, so I was able to get more on one cookie sheet than one cupcake tray. Great cookies for any party! Love peanut butter? Just add extra peanut butter to the recipe. They still come out great!
