Candace Bishop from Glen Ellyn, IL

Chocolate lovers will love these. They are rich, moist, and so very chocolate-y! I used mini-chocolate semi-sweet morsels in place of the white ones, and I sprinkled the top with some extra chopped pecans before baking. These were my April treat for the local Police Department, and the Officers and staff all enjoyed them!

    No ordinary brownie

    Esther D from Chandler, AZ

The white morsels and the caramel make this an exceptional brownie. When I make these for friends, I use the chopped pecans. Making these for my grandchildren who will eat nuts, but not in cookies or cakes, I grind the nuts almost fine and sprinkle them over the batter to still give it that extra flavor. The children are unaware of the nuts and there are never any "day-old" cookies.

Wow! This was a crowd pleaser. I did not have the caramel topping, I used caramel apple dip ( usually found in the produce section near the apples) instead and the results were fine. Very good and will make again. :)

    Absolutely delicious!

    Antoinette O from

I made these this past weekend for a family get together. My husband could not wait until they were completely cooled so he had his piece while it was still pretty gooey. They were so good they were gobbled up right away. The only thing I would do differently next time is add five minutes to the baking time. I felt that the top batter could have used it. Great recipe and will definitely make again!

  • Star(s)

    Very Good

    Katherine Spencer from MS

These brownies were very good, in my opinion. A change from my usual brownies. I made them once, and would make them again. They are extremely rich, so next time, I'll probably cut the recipe in half!

  • Star(s)

    i don't know what i did wrong..

    Tracy Breeden from Woburn, MA

i followed the recipe exactly but the brownies burned on the bottom. also, the caramel oozed up the sides and burned to the pan. i don't know if my oven is running hot or what but they just didn't come out right. i will say, after i trimmed the burned edges and bottoms from them, they tasted really good! i'll try it again at a lower temp, i guess.
