    Libby's Homemade Pumpkin Pie

    Dee Woodrell from JENNINGS, OK

This year for Thanksgiving, my sister and I cooked together. She is usually the one in the family that brings the pumpkin pies. Well, to my surprise she confessed that her "famous" pumpkin pies came from a bakery in the town where she lives. At the last minute, I had to come up with a recipe for pumpkin pie because I had never baked one either. (shame on me) The first thing I did was to get on line and go to this website. It just took a few minutes to find the perfect recipe. Everyone in the family commented on how good my sister's pies were this year. She is now sharing the "secret" recipe that she has had for years, because she finally has one. Thanks for the best pumpkin pie recipe ever!!!!!

    Great Pumpkin Pie Recipe

    PAT BORDEAUX from RIEGELWOOD, NC

Great tasting pumpkin pie recipe. So easy and an excellent recipe for those "first pie" bakers to use. You may use 2 regular pie shells instead of a deep dish pie shell and have 2 pies. Divide the pie mixture equally into the two pie shells and bake accordingly.

I thought it would be complicated to make homemade pumpkin pie. To my surprise it came out delicious and was easy to make. To all you bakers out there this is a must try. You can use can pumpkin, I tried it with pure pumpkin. Either way it comes out great. It tasted just as good as store bought, but tastes fresh and homemade.
