This is really good AND EASY TO MAKE
I have 4 very picky kids and ALL of them love this dish! It is so easy to make and I usually follow the recipe to the T.
Have made it twice now, for two different boyfriends, and this remains my favorite meal, the sauce is so good!!! and even is pretty yummy mixed in with mashed potatoes, will make it many more times!!!
Had to throw sauce away!!
Absolutely the worst recipe i have gotten off this site, and i have been very pleased so far. The chicken was fine, but the sauce was horrible. I took other reviewers advice on dipping chicken in sauce, still horrible. I did everything i could think of to make the sauce taste better, but had to through it away. I ended up covering the chicken with BBQ sauce.
Love this recipe
This is a good recipe, but for added flavor to the chicken as a suggestion, add a little lemon pepper to the chicken before frying. it gives it a little more kick with the sweet flavor of the sauce.
This chicken was a great change. The flavor was amazing. Will definitely make again and again.
This is excellant. I am crazy about continantal food. I loved. Thanks. I wish I can watch your programme.
In college we decided to expand our menu past mac n chez and top ramen. This website has been very helpful on that key. The sauce was a little to sweet one of my roomates dipped and the other opp out of the whole sauce. My stemed Cauliflower with brown butter made the meal. Overall a good meal. Will not make the sauce again.
Chicken with Lime Sauce
I loved it. I thought because of the lime sauce it would have a tarty taste to it, but it was smooth and delicious to my tastebuds. I would recommend this to other people. I would also try this recipe over again.
I opted for chicken thighs instead, because I don't like the dryness of breast meat. I made the sauce first adding garlic, cranberry juice, and chipotle sauce, then diced up the chicken and cooked it in the sauce. While it was cooking, the sauce didn't seem to taste very good, but after the chicken finished & I tried them together, it was pretty good. I'll most likely make it again this way.
This has become one of my favorite dishes to make. it's so simple and everyone i've cooked it for loves it! I love the taste of lime and it just makes a great pairing with the grilled chicken. It's even become my signature dish to all my friends, they all ask me to make MY special dish for them. :)
I cooked this for my children, thinking that they were going to love it. They didn't really go crazy over it. They didn't finish all of it. It smells good but that's about it.
This recipe is really good. The lime sauce gives the chicken a great zip.
This recipe was quick, easy and delicious. I used Chicken Tenders instead of the chicken breast, and Lime Juice from a bottle rather than a fresh squeezed Lime, and it still came out wonderfully. I think you could use this sauce while grilling as well, and it would be tangy and terriffic.
I was looking for something different to prepare and easy enough for my family to help out . I premeasured out the ingredients ahead of time and before you know it we were done and ready for dinner 5/11/2006 . We enjoyed cooking this recipe together. The Lime sauce was the hit over the chicken. Needless to say we all agreed to have it again. Now I can add the recipe to my daliy meal planning.
So Good and So Easy
I made this for dinner and was suprised that it was so quick to make and soooo good! I also sautee'd onions and mushrooms with the chicken, and then placed the chicken back in the sauce and let it simmer for about 5 mins. We served ours over brown rice, and it tasted like I had slaved in the kitchen for hours. I highly reccomend this for an easy yet delicious weeknight dinner!
What a great dish. I have made this dish at least twice and it was requested again by my family for tonight. My son is a VERY picky eater and he loved it!! It is so easy to make and I usually pair it with a chicken flavored rice with fresh asparagus. YUM YUM.
This was terriffic! My whole family loved this chicken. So easy to make. I did however butterfly the chicken. We will put it on our keepers list.
I have made this dish twice now and have fallen in love with it. It is so simple yet the taste is divine. I made it for my whole family and my boyfriend and they have all tremendously enjoyed it. I highly request you try this out.
I made this dish last night and it was very tasty. My husband loved it and we both agree we will make this dish again. It was very easy to make. I did season the chicken with salt, pepper, tyme and rosemary. I also put the chicken back into the saucepan to marinade in the sauce a bit.
Good and Easy
Made for a great easy dinner. My guest loved it. Also helped me not overcook the chicken. The only thing I did differently was to let the chicken cook in the sauce. Very yummy.
I made this for my husband and my 2 year-old nephew and they really enjoyed it. I loved it because it has a sour taste from the apple juice and the lemon. Easy to make.
Excellent!!!!! The taste is amazing. I added some fresh rosemary and thyme. and i also took one of the reviewers ideas and sauteed some garlic before adding the juices.....really yummy!!
Big Hit with the Family!
This chicken is so simple, and the result is amazing. My only suggestion to you is to buy 2 limes, 1 for a garnish, and 1 to juice. Nevertheless, when served with rice and fresh green beans, this meal is deliciously simple with an oriental flair!
I really enjoyed this sauce. It was simple, had very few ingredients, and was quick. I marinated my chicken and cooked it in a pan with sauteed onions and garlic, then took the chicken out to keep warm and made the sauce with the onions and garlic in it. I substituted the apple juice with Guava juice as I saw someone else tried it that way, and it was delicious! Just treat it like any other sauce and season to taste. It was something different to kick up our chicken, without being too wild for our tastebuds. I will definitely be using this recipe again.
After I browned my chicken, I sauteed a little garlic and added the liquid, along with a bit of fresh lemon thyme from my herb garden....It made it all the more tasty!
Easy to make, but nothing special for the taste buds. Probably won't make again.
Just use common sense!
I have to admit I was nervous as to how this recipe would turn out after reading all the mixed reviews on it. Turns out, as long as you use some common cooking sense, this recipe can be pretty good.
The nice thing about this being cooked on the stove-top is that you can taste as you're cooking and modify as needed. Of course you need to SEASON THE CHICKEN before you cook it. I seasoned mine with salt, pepper, garlic, and lemon juice.
As for the sauce, you definitely have to taste to make sure you like how much lime or apple juice is in it. If it's not thick enough for you... add more corn starch! I didn't have a lime, so I used a lemon & it turned out just fine. When the sauce was ready, I let the chicken simmer in it until the rice & vegetables were finished cooking.
Overall, this chicken was pretty good... just needs a little attention to the cooking part. It has kind of an almost oriental taste to it and therefore TASTES GREAT OVER RICE with the sauce soaked in.
Simple and Tasty
I substituted Guava juice for Apple and added some seasoning to the chicken. It was quite good. The lime added a tangy flavor which I liked. I just baked the chicken in the microwave in a covered dish, sliced and applied sauce. It was quick and easy, and requires only a few ingredients. It's worth fixing again.
Simple, and delicious
This was really easy to make, and turned out great; we're adding it to our "favorites" list!
this is the best thing i ever tasted it was like a party 4 my taste buds
Very good, easy to make -- added some dried Granny Smith apple rings and banana chips to the sauce for extra flavor...
The dish tasted super but the 8 to 10 minute cooking time is in error. I've made this four times and to cook the chicken to an internal temp of 165 took a lot longer then 8 to 10 minutes. Everyone loved the taste though.
Very Tasty Tangy Chicken
I made this dish tonight and was not disappointed. It was sweet and tangy and we wanted more! I did add some dry parsley flakes to the sauce, and a pinch of flour to thicken it. I also put a dash of garlic salt on the chicken, as I had read on some reviews that it may be bland. Overall I was very pleased and will definately be making this again!
Delicious and simple
Wow. So simple and so good. This is the easiest dish I've made in a long time, it was fun to prepare and tastes great.
You got to try it!
Easy, Delicious, and Quick
Very different, but yummy
We liked this recipe very much. It has a unique taste that was delicious.
Finger-lickin Lemon Chicken
This recipe is on my weekly dinner list - highly recommended and very tasty - the grandkids just love it.
This dish was pretty good. We chopped the leftovers and made it into chicken sandwiches for the next day. The sauce gave them a great flavor.
Too sweet, I was expecting more of a tangy bite. Very easy to prepare which was a plus, however, I would alter it if I made it again.
This dish was ok, a little to sour and tangy for my taste, but very easy to prepare and clean up.
Not the best chicken dish
I'm not too sure why this is #1 but I tried it with the ingredients and prepared it just like it stated. It was very bitter and I had to add more corn starch for a more thicker sauce and more apple juice for a less bitter taste. I would make it again but try to add some other things of my own for a different taste.
This recipe was very good- my family enjoyed it. A litle too tangy for some tastes- but I loved it!!!! Good job! I would recommend to lots!
It was ok. It's not something I would make again though. Try it with Lemon instead of Lime it might taste better!
Too Much Tang here
I really didn't care for this dish. I thought it was a little to tangy, and couldn't even finish my meal.
This is not something I will try again, it had very little flavor, my family is not picky and they did not enjoy it at all.
Wow this was one of the worst chicken recipe I have ever had... it Wasnt so bad that I couldent eat it but next time I would rather boil the chicken in water and eat it just like that... if you want to impress someone this isnt the way to go
Needs a little more....
It was good, but I think 2 tbl. spoons of Orange juice and 2 tbl. spoons of soy sauce would make it better.
I made this once. I don't think we'll do it again unless I can think of a way to make it more flavorful. It was interesting but not enough flavor.
This recipe is a keeper for its simplicity and a taste
you can savor rather than be overwhelmed by.
