After a hard day at work, settle down with a hot bowl of this Macaroni and Cheese Goulash and you will see why they call it comfort food. This easy-to-make main dish is ready in less than 30 minutes, too.

Ingredients

  • 1 package (12-oz.) STOUFFER'S Macaroni & Cheese, defrosted*
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 1/2 cup chopped onion
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon coarsely ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup smoke flavor barbecue sauce

Cook beef, onion, garlic salt and pepper until beef is no longer pink. Add macaroni and cheese, barbecue sauce and ketchup. Cook over low heat until heated through.



*DEFROST on 50% power for 4 to 5 minutes.

Kicked It A Notch!

I was unsure of this recipe from the start but because it was sooo easy and I had all the ingredients already, I wanted to give it a shot. The idea of cooking with ketchup was not thrilling but I must say I was pleasantly surprised! I’m originally from the islands, so we often add pepper sauce (hot sauce) to our meals after it is plated. I choose to add some but my husband did not. As I scrumptiously enjoyed my meal I asked him what he thought, and he said it was ok. I offered him the pepper sauce and it kicked it up a notch, he loved it!

This was so easy to make!!!

My husband and I loved this dish and it was so easy to make. The only thing I did different to it was, like other people, I added about half of the BBque sauce. Great for families on the go.!!

one more box plus extras to make it special!!!

It was tasty. But i added one more box of the mac and cheese, ( 12 ozs ) it seemed too little for a pound of meat. I also added 1 teas of real garlic to the browned meat, and 1/2 green pepper, 1/2 can of diced tomatoes. I put it in a cassorole dish, and bake for 20 minutes, And then added 1/2 cup of shredded cheddar on top. It was really good. !!!!

If you like BBQ sauce you will LOVE it. I would recommend a touch of BBQ sauce if your not a lover of BBQ sauce.
