- 1 package (40 oz.) STOUFFER'S Macaroni & Cheese, prepared according to package directions
- 1 1/2 cups cooked, diced chicken or turkey
- 1 cup canned Italian seasoned tomatoes, drained
- 1/4 cup diced green bell pepper
- 1/4 cup diced onion
COMBINE macaroni and cheese, chicken, tomatoes, bell pepper and onion in 2-quart baking dish.
BROIL until top is golden brown.

Everyone in my family loves macaroni and cheese, so I really looked forward to making this recipe. Since Italian tomatoes are pretty strong, and suit hearty pasta sauces best, I used only 1/2 cup of tomatoes; then added a bit of garlic powder, seasoning salt and fresh cracked pepper. Just before I put the casserole into the oven, I sprinkled some grated sharp cheddar cheese over the top (about a cup.) When it came out of the oven, it was hot, bubbly and delicious!
