Ingredients:

1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) * NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough
8 large marshmallows

Directions:

PREPARE refrigerated cookie dough according to package directions. (If using dough from one batch Original cookie dough, make 16 cookies, baked 9 to 11 minutes.) Cool on baking sheets on wire racks for 1 minute; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

PLACE marshmallow on bottom side of one cookie. Microwave on MEDIUM (50%) power for 10 to 20 seconds or until marshmallow expands. Top with second cookie. Cool for 1 to 2 minutes. Repeat with remaining cookies and marshmallows.

I set this up for my 3-year old twin grandchildren to make as a special treat for their mom and dad. They loved that they could put them together themselves without help. I just provided the cookies and marshmallows. I "ran" the microwave, but they were able to assemble, put into microwave and finish. Mom & dad were pleasantly surprised

These cookies were very easy to make. I put a twist to these. When I finished putting the cookies together I dipped half the cookie into melted choc. This made the cookies look pretty. The cookies tasted great to!

I made these in my elementary classroom. They were very easy to do and the kids loved them! I have a small toaster oven that makes baking easy in VERY small groups. I would recommend using wax paper to help save mess.

The marshmallow middle was the same and I was always impressed how EASY it was to sandwich two cookies together and how UNIFORM all the cookies looked. I had forgotten about these. These sandwich cookies taste good, but I think they taste a little better with cookies made from scratch. A little more time consuming, but fresher tasting. We have also put ice cream in between the cookies to make an ice cream sandwich cookie.
