Nerds Pretzel Bars are a quick and easy treat.

Ingredients

  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter or margarine
  • 6 cups toasted rice cereal
  • 2 cups pretzel sticks
  • 2 boxes (1.65 oz. each) any flavor WONKA NERDS, any flavors

SPRAY 15 x 10-inch jelly-roll pan with nonstick cooking spray.



COMBINE sugar and corn syrup in large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on HIGH (100%) power for 3 minutes or until sugar is dissolved. Stir in butter until melted.



STIR in cereal and pretzels; stir to coat. Stir in Nerds. Spread into prepared baking pan. Cool until firm. Cut into bars.

Nerds Pretzel Bars

These were easy to make! After letting the kids each pick the box of nerds of their choice we dumped them in with the pretzels and 5 minutes later they were waiting for them to cool. I would add 1 cup of peanut butter to the corn syrup and sugar next time. I would also break the pretzel sticks in 1/2, still using 2 cups to start with. It would be fun to add additional candies. This is a great one to do with kids and they love to see the candy they picked all mixed in.
