LOVE SCONE AND BAKE THEM OFTEN. THESE WERE VERY GOOD. GRATED WHITE CHOC0LATE AND ADDED CHOPPED PECANS. YUMMY.

    Easy!

Colleen Daniels from KLAMATH FALLS, OR

Everyone likes these! I tried semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of the dates and it turned out great, like a mocha scone! Make a glaze (vanilla or chocolate) and it turns it into a real treat, especially for the kids.

    Nescafe-Date Scones

My family thoroughly enjoys scones and this recipe was a big hit. My husband doesn't even like or drink coffee and he likes this recipe. For a change I've tried different fruits, not adding the coffee and using vanilla paste and each time the result was wonderful. The base recipe is great and easy to change for a variety.

    okay but I've had better

    LINDEN STACIOKAS from OLGA, WA

These were a bit dry and I didn't care for coffee/date mix. The second time I made them, I left out the coffee and added the same amount of rum and liked them better---rum seemed to go better with the dates.

I made these last night. They were very good and so light. I mix them in my food processor and it doesn't take but a few seconds.

    a little dry

Carine Nadel from LAGUNA HILLS, CA

I have to admit, I don't make scones much, so maybe I over mixed, but these were a little dry, even w/ the dates. Tasty, but dry

These scones were quite tasty. Easy to makes for the first time, recipe use. The dates can be deleated and raisins used. This worked fine for a second batch.
