Great Pie & So Super Easy

    Faith Jacobson from Virginia Beach

I made this pie for my family and they LOVED it. I did reduce the amount of butter from 1 1/2 sticks to 1 stick and it was still very rich and decadent! I also used a Pillsbury pie crust as it seems more homemade to me. I now keep the ingredients in the freezer to ensure I can whip up a pie at any time.

    LOVE Tollhouse pie

    Chrissy B. from WA

A local restaurant that I'm not real fond of makes this pie, so I would go there just for the pie. After awhile I decided I should look for the recipe, voila, I found it! So glad I did, it's so easy and so yummy. I like to make it a little gooey inside, another reason I decided I need to make it myself. Off to make one now for a potluck, it was a special request.

Great but had to reduce butter

    Michelle Ingram from ,

I made two of these pies following the recipe exactly. The first batch was swimming in butter - I'm sure that I did not use more than the recipe specified. I put the pie back in the oven for much longer than recommended in hopes the butter would reduce. Thankfully it did. For the second pie, I reduced the butter by 1/4 cup and the result was much better and did not affect the taste. I may try reducing even more the next time. Either way both pies were very good, no complaints from the folks who grabbed a slice!

    delicious and easy!

    Carolyn von Meister from ,

This dessert is delicious and easy to make! The only thing I changed was adding chocolate chips to the top of the pie mid-way through baking. The extra chips stay on the top making the pie look more like a chocolate chip cookie. Otherwise all of the chips sink to the bottom. I warmed the pie (covered w/ foil) slightly before serving and topped with whipped cream.
