Ingredients:

1 pkg. (16 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Mini Brownie Bites Bar Dough
1 pkg. (16.5 oz.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookie Bar Dough

Directions:

PREHEAT oven to 325° F. Grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan or dish.

FLIP each bar over on cutting board. Cut each into 12 pieces. Place pieces alternately 1/2-inch apart, in prepared pan to make checkerboard design.

BAKE for 25 to 27 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool completely in pan on wire rack. Cut into bars.

YUM!! The minute I saw these last year, I knew I had to try them! Since then, I've made them for every holiday party (they're especially pretty with the alternate colored holiday decoratives on the dough at each special time of year) and often just to have around the house. The recipe couldn't be easier (I do bake 30 minutes so that the brownies finish setting, though) and it's an extremely fun treat to whip up! A++ for presentation, taste, and ease of preparation!

This recipe makes a really cute, fast treat! I made 5 batches of these bars to take to school and treat my students. They loved how you get a little bit of brownie and a bit of cookie in each piece. One thing I should mention though... I think the recipe may have been written for the 20-count cookie dough pack, but the newer packages come with 24-count squares for the same size pack. That means the dough squares a bit smaller than before, but I think the recipe would work just fine using the newer, smaller dough squares. I bought the chocolate chunk cookies because I was afraid to try it with the smaller cookies.

What a easy and quick snack to prepare, this recipe was enjoyed by 5 boys with a cold glass of milk! I made this recipe twice, I used Nestle sugar cookie dough instead of chocolate chip cookie dough, for the non chocolate eater. I like the chewy texture of the fudgy brownies.

This recipe looked so easy but the only problem is that I looked in four stores for the brownie bars and could not find them. My son really wanted the chocolate chip cookie and brownie taste together. Instead I mixed up two batches of chocolate chocolate chip cookie mix, omitting one Tablespoon of water to get a stickier dough. I inserted the mixed cookie dough between the squares of chocolate chip cookie bar dough. The result was the same. It looked and tasted great.
