Ingredients:

NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Holiday Sugar Cookie Shapes with Decorator Icing
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Sugar Cookie Tub Dough
NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Refrigerated Gingerbread Cookie Tub Dough
Additional icing*, holiday sugars, sprinkles, jimmies, and/or NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Morsels

Directions:

PREPARE AND BAKE cookies according to package directions. Cool completely on wire racks. Decorate as desired; arrange cookies on holiday platter or create a winter scene (see below).

* To make additional cookie icing, combine 1 cup sifted powdered sugar, 1 tablespoon of milk and 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract in small bowl. Stir in additional milk, a teaspoon at a time, until desired consistency. For colored icing, tint with food coloring.

TIP:
To create the winter scene pictured, use a rimmed baking tray as the base for the scene. For the snow, which supports the cookie characters, use granulated sugar because it sparkles so nicely.

I agree with the Kansas baker, who found the gingerbread too hard for her taste. I followed the directions exactly, and they were too stiff, so subtracted 2-3 minutes off successive batches until I finally got them soft enough. Good dippers next day with coffe, though.

Sugar shaped cookies were very good but a little too sweet. But, if you do not have time to make your favorite sugar cookie recipe these a perfect to make. I found if they are baked the afternoon you are serving them, they are much better.

I bought the sugar cookies and baked them-they taste very good. I rolled out the rest of the dough and cut it out also, and ended up with 3 more dozen cookies. I like thinner cookies so rolled the dough thinner than suggested and the cookies were great! The frosting also tasted good.

I made these for a holiday party and they were easy and tasted great. They stayed soft after baking and I decorated them by drizzling white icing over them and sprinkling them with red and green sugar. The icing gave them a more contemporary look and was less time intensive than the traditional gingerbread man trimming. I will definitely make these again.
