I just made these a few days ago to try before packing them as gift jars. I used raisins instead of nuts. My husband & I and his co-workers all really liked it. I loved the hint of cinnamon flavor and that it wasn't too sweet. Looks great in the jar too! Thanks for the recipe!

Really like these, but didn't put in the nuts. The cookies spread a little while baking, so next time will add the nuts or a little more flour. The cinnamon adds a nice flavor.

It is frustrating when you want to bake and you do not have all you need. I get all the dry ingredients and make some jars.....for me. I always have butter and eggs on hand so I grab a jar and bake. :-)

    A sure-fire hit

    GAIL DIRKS from ,

Fabulous - a sure hit even for the most discerning taste. I gave this to my son in law one Christmas and he called me 3 times in less than a month to get the recipe. He calls them 'mum's cookies'. They are still a firm favourite and can be adapted by substituting fruit instead of chocolate. mmmmmm..........

I like oatmeal cookies but wasn't sure about adding chocolate chips to them. But know I don't think I'll ever make them with-out chocolate chips. And this year I'm going to make these for my sister in law for christmas.

This was so easy to do, and made a great gift for my family. I took this to my daughters she and her husband both work and don't have time to bake with my grandsons, this allowed them to do just that for the older boy's teacher.

Excellent recipe as I have been giving these gifts in a jar for years. However, this is one cookie mix I did not have. I am an ex-florist and I decorate the jar top so pretty. I add a wooden spoon and sometimes a cookie sheet along with the cookie in a jar mix. You can always make a gift special depending upon the recipient... You have a real winner here. I need to add some of my recipes as I use your products too. Thanks!

    Karen Severson from FRANKFORT, IL

I made these as gifts for my family at Easter, and decorated the jars with pastel tissue paper and ribbons with the recipe card attached, I even adapted one to be sugar free because my sister-in-law is diabetic. I made a few extra jars so I could bake some of the cookies and try them before I gave them as gifts, they were really good. My sister thought it was a great idea and plans on making up the jars as gifts for the people who work in her lab this christmas. My sister-in-law thought the sugar free version tasted great also; and she doesn't really like to bake that much but she says they a good so she takes the time too make them . Thanks Nestle' for a great gift idea everyone loved the gift and the cookies!

Oatmeal-Chip Cookie Mix In a Jar

    MARY BAERKIRCHER from OREGON, OH

Not only are these great cookies, but when time allows, make an extra jar, and maybe the Chewy Brownie Mix In A Jar. When you seal the jar, cover with a fabric that coordinates with your kitchen accessories. Not only does it look pretty to see 2 or 3 in a row, but when time is short for baking, it's a convenient helper. When you are in a hurry or unexpected visitors pop in, just use one of your "decorator" jars which can be replaced when you have extra time. It cuts your time in half.
