Peanut Butter "Cheese Ball" combines kids' favorite flavors in a unique and creamy recipe. Serve with graham cracker sticks and apple slices for dipping or spreading.
- 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 3/4 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter (not all-natural)
- 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups (9 ounces) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Morsels
- Graham cracker sticks and/or apple slices
BEAT cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until blended. Spoon onto a large piece of plastic wrap; bring up all four corners and twist tightly (should form a ball shape).
FREEZE for 1 hour 30 minutes or until firm enough to keep its shape. Place morsels in flat dish. Remove plastic wrap from ball and roll ball into morsels to completely cover (you may find it necessary to press morsels into ball).
PLACE ball on serving dish; cover and freeze for 2 hours or until almost firm. (Can be made ahead. If frozen overnight, thaw at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.) Serve with graham cracker sticks and apple slices for dipping or spreading.

Sweet...really, too sweet.
It tasted good, but way too sweet.
Made this for a get together and there was nothing left at the end of the night.
The set time is more like 2 1/2 hours and placing it in the refrigerator is better since the water and oils start separating in the freezer.
I made this for a halloween party we went to and everyone loved it. So many requests for the recipe...I also used the mini choc. chips.
We made this for our daughters 4-year birthday party, and both the kids and the parents loved it! I think Id try using mini chocolate chips to cover the outside next time, as theyre easier to eat.
Adults love this
Shared this at a Christmas open house. The adults loved it as much as the kids. Used the mini chocolate chips, teddy grahams and regular graham crackers. Excellent.
I made this snack for a party with some of my girlfriends. I served it with Grahams, Pretzels and Apple Slices. It was a HUGE hit and so simple. Will def. make again! Thanks BestBaking for another great recipe!
I have it easy when it comes to bringing a dish for parties or pot lucks. This recipe makes it easy.
It is by far the most requested recipe I have made. It goes so fast that I now double the recipe. Granny Smith apples seem to be the favorite, but Teddy Grahams or graham cracker sticks work well also. Next we will try pretzels!
PB Cheese Ball
I made this for Memorial Weekend. I expected it to last for three days. It was gone in a few hours. I served it with cut up fruit and teddy grahms. The little ones loved it.
I took this to a Super Bowl party yesterday and it was the hit of the party. Everyone was talking about it. I followed another reviewers advice and used mini chocolate chips. Great recipe!!
Peanut butter "Cheese Ball"
this was excellent!! I did take advice from the other reviewers and chopped the chips. This gave a nicer apperance as well as better "bite"
I made this for my sons 1st birthday and served it with graham crackers and vanilla wafers. It was delicious everyone raved about it and there was none left by the time everyone went home. The only thing I would change is the size of the chocolate chips. next time i will use the mini chips but other than that its great. have a baby shower coming up and will DEFINITELY be making this. this was not too sweet either. maybe i will use mini M&Ms mmmmmmm yummy.
PEANUT BUTTER & CHOCOLATE!
This is a GOOD "cheese ball"!! My family could not believe how good it was! I used mini choclate chips on the outside and it was easier to eat! Will be making it again, it was so easy!
My daughter made this for a family picnic.....there was only crumbs left. The only thing she said she would do different would be to use mini chips to roll the ball in. I will be sending this receipe to the relatives.
This is fantastic! However, I'm afraid I ate the most of it...It is a great fall take-a-long to parties, for "card" or "game" nite! 5-Stars!
peanut "cheese" ball
I had to try this recipe. I love peanut butter and I love chocolate- so the two just had to go together. Easy to make and the kids really seemed to enjoy it.
I made this for a family get together and they went wild. Took the rest to work and they went wild. Everybody wants the recipe. You can even change out the chips with oreo cookie crumbs, holiday candy and just use your imagination. It helps that it is easy and delicious.
Even tastes GREAT with less fat!
I wanted something different for my husbands company 4th of July picnic. But I knew my husband would want to eat it too.Sooo...I decided to change the recipe a little.I used reduced fat cream cheese and reduced fat peanut butter.I served it with reduced fat graham crackers. It turned out great and no one else knew it was lower in fat.It was a hit and I had several of the women ask for the recipe. As my family says, this is a keeper!
Peanut butter ball
This recipe was so good and so easy. The adults had this one gone before the kids even came in to eat, its a good thing I made two! Even those in the family who say they don't like sweets ate this one up! As usual VeryBestBaking made me look like a star, thanks
Little too Sweet
Too much sugar for my taste. Perhaps nuts instead of chocolate on the outside of ball with some chocolate pieces in the peanut butter ball.
This cheese ball is excellent!
I made this and it was easy as well as great tasting! My kids as well as friends loved it. I will definitely be making it a lot in the future.
A peanut buttery experience
My children like peanut butter and this is a great idea for them to enjoy it and getting something nutritional, plus have fun making the balls or any other type of shape it's fun!
I decided to try this, so I made this and took it to my scrapbooking workshop and all the ladies just loved this and wanted the recipe. It is not only for kids, it's also for us "big kids" as well!
I made this for a family gathering, was the first dessert gone. Everyone loved it!
For big kids also
My granddaughter told us while she was making this with me, "this can be for big kids also." It went over great with everyone.
Cheese ball heaven
I made the peanut butter cheese ball for the family last night. Everyone loved it. They ate every last bit of the cheese ball in less than an hour. Thank you for this recipe, I will be making it on a regular basis for my family!
This looks so fun!
What a great idea! A giant buckeye! I am going to use this at our next party for the kid's dessert. They will love it. It looks good and I know it will be delicious with the graham sticks. Thanks for the great idea!
