Peanut Butter "Cheese Ball" combines kids' favorite flavors in a unique and creamy recipe. Serve with graham cracker sticks and apple slices for dipping or spreading.

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, at room temperature
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 3/4 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter (not all-natural)
  • 3 tablespoons packed dark brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 cups (9 ounces) NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE Semi-Sweet or Milk Chocolate Morsels
  • Graham cracker sticks and/or apple slices

Directions:

BEAT cream cheese, powdered sugar, peanut butter and brown sugar in large mixer bowl until blended. Spoon onto a large piece of plastic wrap; bring up all four corners and twist tightly (should form a ball shape).

FREEZE for 1 hour 30 minutes or until firm enough to keep its shape. Place morsels in flat dish. Remove plastic wrap from ball and roll ball into morsels to completely cover (you may find it necessary to press morsels into ball).

PLACE ball on serving dish; cover and freeze for 2 hours or until almost firm. (Can be made ahead. If frozen overnight, thaw at room temperature for 20 to 30 minutes before serving.) Serve with graham cracker sticks and apple slices for dipping or spreading.

I wanted something different for my husbands company 4th of July picnic. But I knew my husband would want to eat it too.Sooo...I decided to change the recipe a little.I used reduced fat cream cheese and reduced fat peanut butter.I served it with reduced fat graham crackers. It turned out great and no one else knew it was lower in fat.It was a hit and I had several of the women ask for the recipe. As my family says, this is a keeper!

It tasted good, but way too sweet.

    Huge Hit

    Tara King from Rotterdam, NY

Made this for a get together and there was nothing left at the end of the night. The set time is more like 2 1/2 hours and placing it in the refrigerator is better since the water and oils start separating in the freezer.

We made this for our daughters 4-year birthday party, and both the kids and the parents loved it! I think Id try using mini chocolate chips to cover the outside next time, as theyre easier to eat.

    Most Requested

I have it easy when it comes to bringing a dish for parties or pot lucks. This recipe makes it easy. It is by far the most requested recipe I have made. It goes so fast that I now double the recipe. Granny Smith apples seem to be the favorite, but Teddy Grahams or graham cracker sticks work well also. Next we will try pretzels!

I made this for my sons 1st birthday and served it with graham crackers and vanilla wafers. It was delicious everyone raved about it and there was none left by the time everyone went home. The only thing I would change is the size of the chocolate chips. next time i will use the mini chips but other than that its great. have a baby shower coming up and will DEFINITELY be making this. this was not too sweet either. maybe i will use mini M&Ms mmmmmmm yummy.

My daughter made this for a family picnic.....there was only crumbs left. The only thing she said she would do different would be to use mini chips to roll the ball in. I will be sending this receipe to the relatives.

    Little too Sweet

    Dorine Rorabacher from LAWRENCEBURG, IN

Too much sugar for my taste. Perhaps nuts instead of chocolate on the outside of ball with some chocolate pieces in the peanut butter ball.
