Peanut Butter Chocolate Chunk Cookies use chocolate chunks rather than smaller morsels in this delicious cookie. Sure to become a family favorite.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup creamy or chunky peanut butter
  • 3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) butter or margarine, softened
  • 2/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups (11.5-oz. pkg.) NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chunks
  • 3/4 cup chopped cocktail peanuts

PREHEAT oven to 350°F.

COMBINE flour, baking soda and salt in a small bowl. Beat peanut butter, butter, brown sugar, sugar and vanilla extract in a large mixing bowl until creamy. Beat in eggs. Gradually beat in flour mixture. Stir in chunks and peanuts. Drop by rounded tablespoon onto ungreased baking sheets; press down slightly.

BAKE for 9 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on baking sheets for 2 minutes; remove to wire racks to cool completely.

Family favorite

As one of the few people who do not like chocolate chip/ chunk cookies these are great! This recipe has become a family favorite. I find them a little on the dry side but no one seems to mind that at all.

Disappointing

I was so disappointed in this recipe because it received a majority of great reviews and when I tasted it I totally agreed with the minority of the reviews saying that these cookies have a cake like texture and barely tasted like peanut butter. My husband said that they tasted good but he couldn’t taste the peanut butter in it and I totally agreed with him. They tasted good not great just like good chocolate-chips cookies. I won’t make this recipe again and I will continue to look for a great peanut butter cookie recipe…This was certainly not it.

Delicious!

I just finished making these cookies and my husband has eaten 4 already. I did not have chocolate chuunks, so I used 3/4 cups peanut butter chips and 3/4 cups m & m's along with chopped peanuts. It worked out fine. Every cookie has bits of goodness in every bite.
