    So good!

This recipe is so delicious and simple! It's a great kids dessert since it can be cut into bite-sized pieces that can be eaten at back-yard or classroom parties!

    Yum

I made these for my boyfriend's family for Valentine's Day with a few variations. I used the Valentine's Hearts instead of the Butterfinger Hearts but they melted more than I would have liked and they didn't really retain their shape. Also, I substituted splenda for the white sugar, smart balance for the butter, and natural peanut butter. I didn't have a 9-inch baking dish, so I used an 8-inch but I think they came out too thick that way. The only question I had regarding the recipe was the direction to "Stir in the [Nestle Hearts]". I wasn't sure what this meant, but instead, I added Nestle Peanut Butter and Milk Chocolate morsels. The end result was great, and my boyfriend and his family loved them. I was glad I could "healthy" them up slighty by using the substituted ingredients. It didn't seem to make a difference at all.

If your a peanut butter fan you'll love these bars. I doubled the recipe because I needed a bigger batch and I wouldn't recommend doing that because the edges overcooked on the first batch. The 2nd batch I made according to directions and they were delicious!!!
