I baked this cake last weekend. It was delicious and moist. Since it was very easy to make,I made two cakes - one to share with my husbands co-workers and one for a veterinarian hospital as a thank you for taking good care of our dog while he was ill. I'll be making this cake again very soon. Thanks for all the great recipes.

    Judges love it, too!

Jane Sims from DE LEON, TX

Last month, my daughter made this cake for a local festival contest; it won First Place in its class, plus Reserve Champion in her age division. The judges commented on the fantastic taste, plus the "luxury" of having chocolate-covered peanuts in it! Yesterday, she made the same cake again (It turned out even better this time!) for the Peanut Festival and won First Place. Everyone who has tasted it bragged about it being so good!

I read the other reviews and took the tip about putting strawberry jam between two layers of cake. My family like it very well and the jam helped offset the dryness of the cake.

This cake was very moist. I used applesauce instead of the vegetable oil and a lower fat peanut butter. I would suggest checking the cake on occasion if you don't want the cake to dry out. I will definitely make this cake again.

This is an easy dessert for those who like peanut butter. The cake was a little dry, but the topping was good. I'll try it again and try to watch the time in the oven. If anyone has a suggestion on how to make this cake more moist, I'd love to hear it.

    A family favorite!

    Judy Weaver from AVON, OH

Peanut butter & chocolate, two 'meant-to-go-together' flavors. And two that are our favorites. This recipe is simple, and it's a great take along dish for pot-lucks. It's also great for summer picnics as it doesn't require refrigeration. It's good cold, but it holds up well in warm weather!

The cake part is good especially if you like peanut butter. The problem was the chocolate chips sank to the bottom of the cake so they stuck to the pan. Also, if you're baking with a gas oven check cake no later than 30 min.!

Cyndy B Wilber from Ravena, NY

This gave the cake a nice peanutty flavor. I actually made it into two layers and put strawberry jam between the two. My kids called it a peanutbutter and jelly cake!
