    Very rich - very good

    Mary Salvador from RIVERSIDE, CA

These bars were extremely easy to make and turned out great. They are very rich so cut the bars into small squares. I toasted 1 cup of coconut to sprinkle on the top and next time may use even more as my family loves coconut.

I had the Chocolate-Studded Dream Cookie as our #1 favorite cookie recipe. Then I tried the Peanutty Pina Colada Bar recipe and now it takes the #1 spot as our favorite Cookie/Bar. Forget the calories! This is the best yet! Made them yesterday for our grand-daughter home from the Katrina storm. She asked for the recipe!

    Carol Lambert from Cincinnati, OH

No bake goodies are always welcome in summer heat. I toasted the coconut in my toaster oven so these were a delight to make and eat.

    Overpoweringly Sweet

    MARY MARY from COVINGTON, VA

This recipe has a good intention, and indeed, it was very easy to make. I believe the sweetness overpowered the individual tastes in the cookie bar. I would use either less chips, or substitute semi-sweet chocolate. The crust will be the basis for many cookie bars.

    Peanutty Pina Colada Bars

    Linda Leonard from GRAYSON, GA

Delicious and easy to make. I made a minor mistake. I made the topping while the bars were baking. By the time the bars had cooled completely, the topping was a bit stiff. I microwaved it for just a few seconds & that seemed to work. Would recommend not making the topping until the bars are cooled. Going to make this again next weekend for a party.

  • Star(s)

    Too sweet two-step

    STEPHANIE SMITH from ARLINGTON, TX

Because this recipe is made in two steps it took a little more time than I realized it would. It went together fine but the topping, mixing the yogurt with the melted chocolate, didn't work so well for me. I also thought the bars were too sweet.

    Peanutty Pina Colada Bars

    Ruth Caswell from WATSONTOWN, PA

I found these bars good, esp. the cake layer. I did find an error in the recipe that I noticed has been corrected as I write this review. When I copied the recipe, the 2nd ingred. said 1/2 cup (1/2 stick) butter. Since 1/2 stick butter is only a quarter cup of butter, I wasn't sure which amount to use, so I used a little more than a quarter cup.

  • Star(s)

    Peanutty Pina Colada Bars

    Theresa Castiglia from VINELAND, NJ

These are really good, you can give these to children of all ages. The younger kids love the peanutty taste, the older kids (adults, love the pina colada taste). It was a big hit at our family picnic.
