Excellent Bars

Nancy from Minneapolis, MN

I served these to a group of ladies and they are excellent. They were loved by everyone young and old. They are unique and a welcomed change from the usual chocolate, condensed milk variation of bars. These are very sophisticated. I served them with the chocolate covered strawberries and they were all a hit. Thank you meals.com for another great idea.

I have made these bars several times, I always get great compliments and everyone wants the recipe. I have also omitted the Cranberry Sauce & Cornstarch and replaced it with a 21oz can of raspberry pie filling / topping. Very good!

Absolutely delicious -- I sent a pan of these to my husband's office and everyone loved them! They disappeared in minutes flat and even got me a marriage proposal! LOL. I lined my baking pan with tin foil and sprayed the foil lightly with cooking spray. Used lite cream cheese, reduced fat sweetened condensed milk and about three cups of cran. sauce. These bars really thrill the taste buds; all who tasted gave these two thumbs up and are waiting for more.

The first time I took these bars to a church meeting, everyone wanted the recipe. People are usually surprised to find out that canned cranberries are used. Now when I'm taking this luscious, easy-to-make dessert anywhere, I also take copies of the recipe with me, since I always get a request!

Wow! These were great. Easy to make and everyone loved them. The only hard part was waiting the 12 or so hours for them to cool in the refrigerator. We will definitely make these again. I made mine with fresh cranberry sauce. I started the sauce while I did everything else and just mixed it and spooned it in warm.

Mary Dempster from HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA

This is my favorite bar recipe of all time - I have been making it for years and it is always well received. I have varied the recipe often but the original is the most delicious and different with the sweet taste of the chocolate and the more tangy flavor of the cranberries. On the occasion of his retirement, my brother requested these bars instead of cake and everyone enjoyed and asked for the recipe. I am really surprised there are not more reviews recorded because I have given out LOTS of copies of the recipe. The pan needs to be well greased for easy extraction of the finished product. Thank you

    BEST BARS

    Jasmine Cody from FARMINGDALE, NY

We made these to include with our Christmas baking just to have something a little different. WOW - Am I glad we did! These were the BEST BAR cookie yet. I must admit that I like cranberry and to have oatmeal and chocolate with them is perfect. We also added some chopped walnuts and the results were superb. They were the first cookie to disappear off of the tray. I plan on making them for Easter too - they will be a nice treat after our Easter turkey!

He doesn't like cranberry but anything mixed with cream cheese is always good to me. My favorite part of this dessert is the crust. Thanks for this recipe!! I will be making it often.

I made these wonderful cookies for the christmas holiday! My sister has been begging me ever since to make some more !! I gave her a 9X13 pan of them, and she said she had to fight off the kids, and her husband to even get one ! They are more of a desert that a cookie !! You must try these if you like chocotate, cheese cake, or cranberries. Even my neighbor who by the way doesn't eat cream cheese, loved these !!

    YUMMY Cranberry Cheesecake Bars

Shirley McCurry from JOHNSON CITY, TN

I thought I had already given this recipe a rave review, but guess I've just gotten so busy making (and eating) them that I didn't get around to it! The past couple of pans of these I made with swirl white/semisweet chocolate chips & plain white chocolate chips, too. The latest batch was for guys at my husband's work, where 1 doesn't eat chocolate, so I put only white chips in that with swirled chips on the top of only half. ALL were eaten and loved.

    Scrumptious!

    Suzanne Sirois from MILLINOCKET, ME

This recipe caught my attention because I thought the combination of white chocolate and cranberry was unique. When I got to the part of the recipe where I needed the white chocolate bits, I realized I didn't have any -- only milk chocolate. Not being close to a store (20 mins. away), I used the milk chocolate anyway. They were delicious! This recipe is a definite "keeper"!
