Will not make these again. Yes they were easy but very blah tasting. No flavor to them

This was soooo good. Next time I will make a double batch.

    lots of chocolate chips

    Emily Soen from Jackson, MS

I gave this four stars because the whole bag of mini chips was too much. Next time I'll only put half to 3/4 of the bag and put a little white sugar in as well. But note that I said that there would be a next time!

I will never make chocolate chip cookies the old way. My husband & grandkids love these and they are a lot easier to make.

Betcha can't make just one batch!!

    Linda Hessaa from Canton, SD

Whenever I make these I have to at least double the batch - the last time I made them I quadrupled the batch and they still only lasted 3 days - WAY TO GOOD!!!!!!

Crunchy on the outstide, Soft on the inside

Kimberly M from Grande Prairie, AB

These were great. They were crunchy on the oustide and gooey on the inside. Mine were cooked after only 8 minutes, so I turned the oven down to 325 and they took 10 minutes. I will have to double the recipe next time I make them, because they will not last long.

    Erin K from Baldwinsville, NY

These cookies turned out awesome. Based on another reviewers recommendation, I used white chocolate pudding mix. I then used 1-1/2 cups of white chocolate/semi-sweet swirl chips, and 1/2 cup of regular semi-sweet chips. Delicious!

    Soft and Chewy Goodness!

    Natasha Hensley from Berea, KY

My kids love the chips ahoy chewy cookies and I could never seem to come close to them with any other recipe. We tried these cookies and fell in love with them. My family loves the chocolate chip made with vanilla pudding, but my absolute favorite is the french vanilla pudding cookies with pecans and butterscotch chips. I add one thing to the recipe, a pinch of salt. The salt counter acts some of the sweetness. Overall they make a great cookie!

Carmen Cowan from OAK CREEK, WI

OMG! These cookies are soooo delicious and very easy to make! To change things up, I use different flavors of pudding, different types of chips (i.e. butterscotch, peanut butter, white chocolate). I look for any reason to make them. I'm going to make some now.

  • Star(s)

    amazing!!

    Kelly Rekosh from MOKENA, IL

These cookies are SO good. I used pumpkin pudding and 1 cup mini morsels and later 1 cup regular morsels when I ran out of minis (for the second and third batches!) Tasted great either way. Out of three batches there were none left after Thanksgiving dinner. Can't wait to try it out with different pudding flavors.

    Yum-o

Contessa Richter from VALLEY CENTER, KS

I thouhgt these cookies were the best!! But mine also seemed a bit dry. They were nice and fluffy and moist but they had a bit of a dry texture to them as well. I doubled the recipe so I used 3 whole eggs but I think more moisture is needed. I also used white chocolate pudding and my husband said they had too much chocolate to them. Will make again very soon.

  • Star(s)

    Variation

    Laurel Groff from Jacksonville, FL

I used a little different variation of the recipe which included doubling and using two boxes of white chocolate pudding, then used one bag of milk chocolate morsels, and one of semi-sweet. I love the original toll house - but this one stays moist and solid. Two thumbs up!

  • Star(s)

    Alanna Kapulak from monroe, MI

My family loved these cookies!! I agree that you do not have to put 2 cups of mini chips in. We love extra choc chips and I used 1 1/2 cups and there was plenty! We also used banana creme pudding, they were the best ever!

    Pudding Chip Cookies

    SHARON HURLBURT from WALLINGFORD, CT

I was looking for a chocolate chip recipe to make in a sugar free or low sugar version. This recipe was great. I used the sugar free instant pudding and also used whole wheat flour. The do not make as many as my regular recipe but I have made them over and over again. The first few times I did not have mini morsels on hand and used the regular chips. Today I used the mini morsels and I agree with another that only one cup will work great too. Another time I used canned pumpkin puree for the butter and cinnamon chips. Added 1 tsp pumpkin spice and they disappeared even faster than the chocolate chips!

    Soooo Goood!!

    meagan reyes from broomfield, CO

I made these chocolate chip cookies because I wanted to try a different version of the basic chocolate chip cookie. These cookies were so soft and they were a huge hit at home. It didn't seem to make as many cookies as my the other basic cookie recipes so I am going to try to double the recipe next time though because they went too fast! But they were gooood!!!

  • Star(s)

    Excellent, moist cookies

    Cheryl Meilleur from Niverville, MB

I just made these cookies and they are amazing! There is nothing better then a moist chewy cookie with a tall glass of milk. The only thing I did definitely then the recipe was to only add 1 cup of chocolate chips because two is not necessary the cookies are sweet enough. Yummy...will gladly make this a regular recipe in our house.

Time well spent on this recipe!!

    C McAfee from

I was in need of a low sugar cookie recipe when I stumbled across this site. The sugar-free cookie recipes I'd try with artificial sweetner were hard & no flavor. I was wanting a moist cookie. This cookie delivered! Like another reviewer...I used sugar free vanilla pudding mix. I also used sugar-free chocolate chunks (in the baking aisle @ the grocery store) in place of morsels. By my calculation this made for a little over 3 grams of sugar per cookie. Just what I was in search of! Also made a second batch using sugar free vanilla pudding, adding approx. 5 TBLS of creamy peanut butter, left out sugar free chocolate chunks and baked only 5-6 minutes. Now I've got a great low sugar peanut butter cookie recipe. My calculations are around 3.5 grams sugar per cookie.

    Delicious!

    Jessica Goldman from RICHMOND, VA

I made these with the butterscotch pudding mix and divided the chips with half butterscotch and half semi-sweet chocolate chips. The cookies were delicious! I froze a batch in a freezer bag for 4 days, then took the bag out of the freezer the morning that I planned to serve the cookies. The cookies thawed perfectly and were still soft.

I always like to make a little treat for my family. I start off by scaninng through the meals.com dessert section. I saw this recipe and thought it looked quick , easy, and yummy. I was right about all three. It was quick and easy to make, and one of the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. It has a great texture and doesn't flatten out like some other recipes do. It also stays soft, but isn't too moist. I think they're perfect. I've only used the sugar-free vanilla pudding so far. I can't wait to try the chocolate pudding mix.

    MMMM, good!

SHERRY CONK from EAST MEADOW, NY

My daughter (age 8) made these for her Girl Scout bakeoff. We used the chocolate-caramel swirl chips instead of the regular chocolate chips, and added 1 tsp. of vanilla. It was very easy for her to make alone (bakeoff rules). They were so good, we weren't sure if there would be any left to actually bring to the bakeoff! Will definately make them again!!

    Delicious!

    JENNIFER YOUNG from SOMERSWORTH, NH

I was looking for a simple but different cookie recipe to make for my niece and her boyfriend who were leaving for a trip to FLA. They picked these because they both love Butterstoch Pudding. Boy, were they easy to make and so delicious to eat. I ended up eating 1/3 of the batter it was so good. Highly recommmended for anyone who loves Chocolate Chip Cookies, but were looking for something with a kick! One small word of warning, when taking cookies out of the oven, they may look like you have over cooked them (very brown), but I realized that was only due to the Butterstoch Pudding. Make sure to cook for full time required.
