I really enjoyed this pie. I had never even heard of mixing the two pies and I thought the flavor was excellent. Pecan Pie is usually extra sweet, but I found the sweetness in the Pumpkin Pecan Pie to be just right.

    This recipe is a keeper

I actually found this recipe in a magazine years ago and have been making it ever since. My family loves it, especially how the pumpkin layer 'softens' the sweetness of the pecan pie. I've passed the recipe along many many times.

    Two pies in one

    Cynthia Legler-Klein from PITTSBURGH, PA

I really wanted to love this recipe, beacuse I absolutely love pumpkin and pecan pies separately. It was delicious, but I expected the flavors to blend together somehow. It was more like eating a bite of pecan pie along with a bite of pumpkin pie. I did, however, find a perfect combination of the two pies with a bit of a twist. It's the walnut crunch pumpkin pie on this site. Fantastic!

I decided to experiment for Thanksgiving this year, as my Dad's two favorite pies are Pumpkin and Pecan. Although I was a bit worried at first, once we cut into it it was a HUGE hit! Don't be worried if it doesn't seem done, I had to leave mine in up to 70 min...It's worth the wait!

I LOVE this recipe!!!! I have been making this recipe since 1966 or 1967. The combination of these two popular pie flavors makes a pie that is not too sweet or spicey. When I make this recipe I combine all ingredients rather than making 2 layers and it turns out wonderful!

This pie was very good. I am not a huge pecan pie fan, but I love pumpkin so I gave it a try. Everyone was looking for a second piece! The only thing that would make it better were if the layers of filling were a little thicker. You can't really go wrong with this one, though, and it is super easy to make.
