Treat yourself to a big mug of creamy hot chocolate with this quick-as-a-wink recipe. Perfect when the weather is not.


  • 1/2 cup dry NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Instant Nonfat Dry Milk
  • 1 to 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons NESTLÉ® TOLL HOUSE® Baking Cocoa
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • Whipped cream or miniature marshmallows (optional)

COMBINE dry milk, sugar and cocoa in mug or cup; stir in boiling water. Garnish with whipped cream or miniature marshmallows before serving.

Add 1/8 teaspoon ground cinnamon to dry ingredients. Follow directions above; stir in 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract. Omit whipped cream and marshmallows.

Chocolate Goodness

What an easy and quick recipe. I like to substitue water for milk in addition to the Carnation Milk. Umm umm umm!

Very Easy

I just made a cup, and enjoyed it very much. I think it needs more vanilla, but then my mom as always told me to double the vanilla in every recipe!
