    gluten free & wonderful

Tried this recipe with gluten free bread and brought it to my celiac support group meeting. I came home with an empty dish and a promise to make it again. Even with gluten free bread this recipe is a winner.

    Easy & Delicious

Made this last night and I was so pleased with the results. I used 1/3 cup half & half and the remainder whole milk since that is what I had available and I thought it would make it 'richer'. It came out far better than I anticipated especially since it took practically no time whatsoever!

    Simple and Tasty

    Judy Coenen-Eichhorn from Appleton, WI

My son loves bread pudding so I am always looking for twists on the traditional recipe. This one was simple to make and obviously he liked it because I came home from work to find an empty pan sitting on the counter. I did make one change - my only available raisins were rather dry and hard so I softened them up by soaking in whiskey - you could use rum or brandy too. It added a nice touch to the flavor.

Just like Grandma's. This remind me of when my grandmother baked bread pudding. Only lets use some sugar icing on top, with walnuts also inside it as well. Us kids, couldn't wait for her to call us into the kitchen. Now I can't wait to eat this in my house.
