My family loves brownies, with or without nuts. I have made this recipe both ways. It is now the only recipe I use for making brownies.

This is the BEST brownie recipe I've ever done...and I've made alot of brownies!!! There is absolutely no reason to ever made box brownies or any other recipe after this extremely easy recipe again. Plus, the dark chocolate -- oh my!!! You will NOT be disppointed. So good and a no brainer!!! Plus...it's a one bowl and microwavable!!!

    My House Smelled Like Heaven!

    Gina Pelloni from MIAMI, FL

From the moment I opened the bag of morsels, I was swooning with the aroma of the bittersweet chocolate! These brownies were very easy to make and they were rich and delicious beyond our expectations! I made this batch for a "no nuts" crowd and as soon as we started eating them, all we could say was "Wow".

    ooohhhh sooooo gooood

    Jennifer Zimmer from HOLLAND, MI

I JUST made these. They are cooling as I type. I can not believe how incredibly easy these were. One bowl preperation! I only had the lower % of chocolatier on hand. But I don't think it made a lick of difference. I can't even begin to describe how fabulous these are. Anyone who likes chocolate or brownies has got to try this. This is the 3rd chocolatier recipe I have tried and I am amazed with every one.

    chocolatier rich & chewy brownies

    Phyllis Deming from Newton,, MA

I want to get the original recipe from the news paper that included a topping of melted chips swirled on top. It was a huge success. I laminated the one in the paper to save it but somehow lost it. I would like to get that one again if possible.

    Nancy Kasicki from CLEVELAND, OH

Fantastic recipe, so easy I'm teaching my 9 yr old son this one. I've already sent this one to two friends with a bag of Chocolatier just to prove how easy and excellent these brownies are...pure heaven.

Good brownies - can taste the chocolate immediatel

    Leslie King from AKRON, OH

I made these for work and they went fast! You could smell the chocolate the minute the plastic bag was opened. Everyone commented on how rich they were and could tell that I used good quality chocolate. They were very moist. Men aren't normally chocolate eaters, but they were the ones eating them. I didn't make them with nuts, but next time, I will and make sure they're warm and have a BIG dollup of vanilla ice cream on top.

Old Recipe I have been looking for

Karen Barman from Black Earth, WI

When I was 14 yrs old I used to make a brownie recipe similiar to this, instead of melted chocolate, it asked for chocolate syrup, and 2 whipped egg whites. I can't wait to make this, I have been looking for this recipe for a couple of years now. I am so glad I went on-line to find this. Nestle never lets me down.

I always make a chocolate dessert for our anniversary and since our anniversary comes two days before Valentine's day, it can do double duty. I found this recipe and thought I would give the brownies a try. My husband thought they were wonderful! I definitely will be making these again.

    Recommend instant coffee

    VICTORIA CRISSMAN from ALEXANDRIA, VA

I made these brownies according to the directions except I added 2 tsp of instant coffee. I highly recommend this as it brings out the flavor of the chocolate to it's utmost. These brownies turned out so moist, chewy, and rich! You get great quality chocolate flavor in them with the new chocolatier chips!!

    The Best ever!!!!

    Sharon Gamm from MILWAUKEE, WI

I looked in quite a few grocery stores for the package of Chocolatier with this recipe on it since when I made these brownies at Christmas, I did not know I would become addicted. I can't wait to make them again and again since I am not a sweet lover and these brownies were perfect!!!

    SUPER CHOCOLATE FLAVOR

    D. Dewald from

Since I live at high altitude, I bake recipes at 25 degrees F. higher than what is written. I did this with this recipe too, and it turned out a bit crumbly, even though it raised nicely. I think it was my fault because I may have been too generous with the flour, and did overbaked it by doing it the whole 20 minutes. I can't wait to try it again with my two errors corrected. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS CHOCOLATE FLAVOR!!! And, I absolutely LOVE recipes that do not need an electric mixer!!!

    Best of the Bunch

This was the best of the three recipes I tried for brownies using the new 62% chocolate. Better than the wedges and the deliciously rich ones. And it made more!

    Not the Best

    Jaclyn W from BOSTON, MA

I made these brownies last night and they were OK....not the best. They were more on the cake-like side. I prefer my brownies to be more chewy and fudge-like. However, the flavor of the Chocolatier was wonderful and the recipe was very easy.

    Rich & Chewy chocolate Brownies

    Terri Branham from RIVERTON, IL

This was a very easy recipe. Using the microwave to cook the butter and sugar gave the dough a smooth texture. When adding the chocolatier morsels for melting, the batter did become stiff, which made me a little nervous, but after I added the eggs it was great for adding the remaing ingredients. I made the Chocolate Lover's Frosting for them also. I baked them for 17 minutes. They were great!!!
