This is a good and easy recipe to make. I made it the other night using a pre-made chocolate crust instead of crushing chocolate cookies. I had the crust already in my cabinet. Easy and good.

    Not worth the effort

    Acsa Buening from Hartland, WI

Not worth the effort. If you're trying to lighten up the calories, don't use crushed chocolate sandwich cookies for the crust. You're much better off using Graham Crackers mixed with sugar, cocoa and butter. You can also make one of thre cream cheese packages the 1/3 less fat kind. These two steps combined would bring the calories down and improve on the taste.

WE LIKED THIS CHEESECAKE RECIPE, BUT WE SUBSTITUTED REAL SUGAR FOR THE SPLENDA. IT TURNED OUT VERY WELL. AND OF COUSE, ANYTHING WITH CHOCOLATE CHIPS IN IT HAS TO BE A KEEPER!

Whoa 490 Cal and 27 G Fat -Sensible?

    Sharon Sciarra from Trumansburg, NY

Grant it is a good recipe but I have to agree with previous reviewer and so I tailored this recipe and did the following to make it "sensibly" delicious you need to use 1 Fat Free Cream Cheese and 1 1/3 Less Fat Cream Cheese, Eggbeaters equivalent to 1 Egg and 1 Real Egg, Fat Free Evaporated Milk and Light Sour Cream and you'll get your calorie and fat down and the rest of the ingredients remain the same. The chocolate chips and butter level off the rest of the ingredients used if you change it and then it can be called "Sensibly Delicious" and guiltless too :-)

    Misleading Title

    A Craftin from

At 27 grams of fat per serving this is not a sensible recipe and I don't know why it's flagged as being a healthier alternative. Maybe a mistake someone needs to fix?

    Super easy Birthday cake!

    Lauren Jung from ROCHESTER, NY

I made this cheesecake for my boyfriend for his birthday this past weekend. I have never made a cheesecake and I was worried about messing it up. This was really easy to make. The directions were easy to follow and there were not too many steps. I had to add a little more butter to the crust layer on the bottom to keep the crust crumbs together. I might also bake the cake a little longer next time. All in all, a great recipe that I will definitely use again!
