This delicious Southern Barbeque Sauce recipe has excellent flavor and is perfect to use on baked, grilled or broiled meat and poultry during last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking. Flavor can be adjusted by using less/more pepper sauce.
- 1/2 cup warm water
- 1 MAGGI Chicken Flavor Bouillon Cube
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons steak sauce
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 3 drops hot pepper sauce
BRING water to a boil in small saucepan. Add bouillon; stir to dissolve. Stir in onion, sugar, steak sauce, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and hot pepper sauce. Reduce heat to low; cook, stirring occasionally, for 6 to 8 minutes or until mixture is thickened.
SERVING SUGGESTIONS: Use on baked, grilled or broiled meat and poultry during last 5 to 10 minutes of cooking.

Southern barbeque sauce
This sauce is good; but can be made better with the addition of one Tbl. sour mash or bourbon. If you like a more smokey taste add 5 drops of liquid smoke. Be carefull with this as too much liquid smoke can turn any recipe bitter tasting.
