This moist and delicious Spiced Coffee Nut Loaf is a quick bread with cinnamon and a hint of coffee; wonderful for breakfast or with afternoon tea.

Ingredients

  • 2 1/4 cups flour
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons NESCAFÉ TASTER'S CHOICE House Blend 100% Pure Instant Coffee Granules
  • 1 tablespoon hot water
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter, softened
  • 1 1/2 cups sour cream
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, divided

PREHEAT oven to 350°F. Grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

COMBINE flour, cinnamon, baking powder and salt in a medium bowl. Combine Taster's Choice and water in a small bowl; stir until coffee is dissolved.

COMBINE sugar and butter in a large mixing bowl. Add sour cream and eggs; beat until creamy. Gradually beat in flour mixture alternately with coffee mixture. Stir in ¾ cup nuts. Spread batter into prepared pan. Sprinkle with remaining nuts.

BAKE for 65 to 70 minutes or until wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool in pan on wire rack for 15 minutes. Remove from pan; cool completely on wire rack.

delicious!

I made this bread yesterday, and everyone really liked it. Since no one in my house likes nuts, i substituted golden raisins, and didn't sprinkle any on top. I also didn't have any plain cinnamon, so i substituted pumpkin pie spice. It all worked out quite well! The bread was moist and flavorful.

WONDERFUL AND SO MOIST. EVERYONE LOVED IT AND ASK FOR THE RECIPE. ADDED GOLDEN RAISINS, PECANS HALF SOUR CREAM AND HALF YOGURT AND 1 TSP. APPLE BRANDY.

Add some applesauce

I had all the ingredients except enough sour cream so I used half sour cream and half apple sauce. I did decrease the coffee but will try the full strength next time. I couldn't taste it at all. It is a wonderful breakfast treat and I'll definitely make it again.
