    GREAT COOKIE

    Ms. Balschuk from FARMINGDALE, NY

I did not make stars - I used a different cookie cutter (snowflake) and made some really good cookies. I decorated them and sprinkled crystal sugar on top too. The taste was so good. The kids at school devoured them. VERY GOOD!

    Yummy

    Jackie Saltzman from NORTHRIDGE, CA

I made these cookies for my son's preschool class with Halloween shaped cookie cutters. Since he is allergic to eggs, this was the perfect recipe. They were a big hit with the children and teachers alike. I added a bit of extra sugar(both powdered and white), which enhanced the flavor. We had a lot of fun decorating the scary shapes! I can't wait to make these again for the next holiday.

    Good cookies!

susan campbell from grass lake, MI

I liked these cookies, which were quick and easy to make. Try them with 1/2 c. chopped pecans added to the dough, which adds flavor and texture.

    Mmmmmm...

    mary brown from brooklyn, NY

Nice chocolate flavor, but not quite sweet enough. The second time I made them, I sprinkled with sugar before baking and they were nicer. I think I will make them again, adding a bit more sugar to the recipe, and I'll drizzle them with white chocolate to decorate.

    kim burgy from parkersburg, WV

A very easy recipe, and they hold their shape wonderfully. The cookies are like a chocolate shortbread, but next time I make them, I will be adding a little more confectioners sugar for a little sweetness...or maybe a tablespoon of white sugar.

    Star of David Chocolate Cookies

    Adrienne Cennamo from Richmond, VA

Although these light and delicious cookies would be great using any shape cookie cutters, it was nice to finally see a recipe geared toward Hanukkah. They're also easy to prepare. Thanks.

    Very good

Lorena G from White Plains, NY

I knew this recipe from a cookbook. If you are looking for a chocolatey shortbread type cookie, this is for you. However, I would try adding a little more sugar to make it a chunky. Thanks.
