easy, exactly what I was looking for!

Michelle Fowles from Playa Del Rey, CA

It was a fool proof recipe!! I added a teaspoon of orange zest to the strawberries. Also I par-baked the shortcakes before my company arrived. When the time came for dessert I brushed the tops with melted butter and sprinkled on some turbinado sugar crystals. Used a store-bought light whipped topping....YUM!!

I made the shortcakes and added peaches instead of strawberries. Now there are only three of us, so I figured on batch along with a holiday meal would be plenty. when the dishes were done there was an arguement, over the last one! I will definitely be making these again, EASY!

    Great Shortcake

Linda Randles from NORTH CANTON, OH

I love making shortcakes any time of the year. But this recipe makes it sooo much nicer than my old one. It doesn't take much time at all to make it so you can even have it at the last minute if you need to. I put mine in the oven while we was eating dinner so when we had dessert it was fresh from the oven. My family loved this recipe and so do I. Thanks for sharing it.

We all enjoy this. The way we do is to put the strawberries in a bowl and the shortcakes in another plate and have each person make their own at parties. This way they don't get soggy.
