These muffins are wonderful! I made them for my husband and me, and we both loved them. The streusel provides nice crunch, and they're loaded with chocolate chips. Delicious!

I was looking for a chocolate chip muffin receipe.Went to your website and found the one for Toll House Stresel Muffins. My daughter was here for supper and saw the muffins in the refrigerator and said " Oh I have got to have one of those " She liked it so well I offered to let her take the last one to work with her in the morning. She said " You could and it would make my breakfast special tomorrow."

    Amazing

    Kim Rogers from OH

These muffins are so good! We made these one morning when we ran out of chocolate chip muffin mix. Let's just say we won't be buying chocolate chip muffin mix anymore - these are so much better! I froze the ones we couldn't eat for breakfast the first day. They warm up great in the microwave and make a great quick school morning breakfast.

    Yum!

    Lorie Bagley from VISALIA, CA

I use this with my high school foods class. They love the muffins. My only change to the recipe is to cut back on the chocolate chips--there are way too many--some of my students put even less than my change in.

Very very sweet, more like a cookie than a muffin. I would use less chocolate chips if I were to make them again.

These muffins are so good and chocolatey! Our family can never eat a whole dozen muffins the same day I bake them, so they leftovers get shared at work or tossed...not these! They are just as good the next day!

These are wonderful, I made them for a garage sale on June 10 along with some coffee & the smell was tantalizing!. I think that next time I will add yogurt or sour cream for a creamier texture.

    Tasty but different

    JENNIFER HART from MATTYDALE, NY

I followed the recipe exactly as it stated. However; it made 18 muffins not 12. I filled the 12 as high as I could, but it was a bit of an inconvenience to get out another pan and more muffin liners. For the topping, there was a lot left over even though I ended up making a few more muffins than planned. After they baked and cooled they were fabulous.

    Great treat!

Ann Morrison-Ridgley from Bruce crossing, MI

My husband is a "muffin" nut, so I'm always looking for new recipe's. I found this yesterday and made them this morning. Even though they were a tad too sweet for him in the morning, I trust they will be a popular afternoon treat. I loved them!

  • Star(s)

    Delicious

Eileen Chiachetti from White Plains, NY

I make these muffins often; they're very easy to whip up, and they're really rich and decadent. My son asked for them recently and I had only half the amount of chips required; I made them anyway, and they were still delicious, just a bit lighter, not quite so filling. Either way, great with a cup of tea.

    NANA CALDWELL from SPRINGBORO, OH

This is a GREAT recipe to adjust to your personal taste! I used mini chips; dash of vanilla; 1/2 applesauce 1/2 butter in batter; and made batch enough for 36 large muffins to serve church bazaar workshop. Ladies truly raved! Appreciated cinnamon crunched no nut* topping - felt it was just right! My husband and grandchildren enjoy these too! NOTE: Allergy to nuts in family. Removed nuts, used oats in topping.

    cookies for breakfast

LAURA MCGUIRE from Virginia Beach, VA

If you ever wanted to have chocolate chip cookies for breakfast, this is the way to go. They are yummy muffins with a little crunch on the top. Eat them while they are warm so that the chips are still gooey. If you add a glass of milk, it makes a perfect breakfast! Well, I think so anyway.

  • Star(s)

    mini chips

    Frenchi Jones from Corsicana, TX

I made these for breakfast this morning. Chocolate for breakfast is always a good idea! I made a double batch, and one bag of mini chips for a double batch was plenty. I made one with the topping, and one without. My family preferred muffins without the topping. The muffins without the topping baked a little faster. They were very filling. My husband and teenage boys each ate two muffins.

    Very Tasty

    Pat Coyle from Dubuque, IA

I made these muffins, and was very pleased with the flavor and texture. I used applesauce in place of butter to cut down on fat, and found that it worked quite well. The only problem that I experienced was that the topping became soggy. I advise that they be allowed to completely cool before placing in a plastic bag or container.

    Heather Ainge from TOPEKA, KS

My mom and I decided to make a few muffins and this was the right recipe to pick. A little on the calorie laden side- yet fabulous!! You have to watch the amount of chocolate chips, we used half a bag of the mini chips and it was almost too much. Next time we will use even less.
