This macaroni & cheese casserole was the best tasting I've ever made not to mention quick & easy. I don't like to add eggs so this recipe is perfect! The only thing I might change up in the future is the types of cheese I use other than that, this recipe is a keeper, you won't be dissapointed!

I am not a cook...at all...and was asked to bake a homemade dish of mac and cheese. I was so nervous but it was a smashing success! I made it two more times within the month and brought it to more parties...It's so delicious and rich. I actually added some extra sharp cheddar cheese and it was really so darn tasty!

    Renee Willis from Livermore, CA

I have been craving homemade macaroni & cheese so was thrilled that I found this easy sounding recipe. It was all that I had hoped for! Very creamy and delicious. I mixed bread crumbs with the cheese for the top for a nice crunch. My husband is still talking about how good it was with dinner tonight! I added the recipe to my recipe box and will definitely be making this again! :)

This recipe is like the one on the box of shells, except that it adds evaporated milk. I like this recipe when I don't have any eggs on hand. It freezes beautifully. I freeze it in serving sizes. My son thaws and heats it up in the microwave. yum-oh

This was the first time I'd made Mac & Cheese from scratch, and was very nervous. Not only was this easy, but the taste does not compare to boxed mac & cheese. AT ALL. This is the easiest, more wonderful recipe I ahve ever tried.

My wife loves macaroni and cheese, in fact it would not be a lie to say she adores it and so does everyone else in my family. This is the best recipe for this dish that I have found, although I do modify it a bit for individual tastes at times but ALWAYS using Carnation evaporated milk! Other brands of evaporated milk just don't taste right and some are just downright awful.

Found this recipe in a cook book after craving homemade macaroni and cheese for months, and it really hit the spot. It was really simple and easy to make, although I have found that it turns out better when you use extra sharp cheddar instead of just sharp. Depending on casserole dish size, more cheese may be needed for topping it. Overall, LOVE this recipe, I make it all the time!

I try a lot of new recipes, this one has it all. It tastes great, it uses pantry staples, is easy, quick, and can be modified to go from everyday simple to guest ready in minutes. You can add canned tomatoes, meats and/or veggies with the macaroni and just cook a little longer.

This macaroni and cheese is great. I didn't have quite enough cheddar cheese when I made this but I happened to have some monterey jack cheese and parmesan cheese so I put those cheeses in it. I also added some ham to this. This macaroni and cheese turned out so creamy and delicious. This recipe is a keeper. I can't wait to make it again.

    Love it!

Brooke Seeger from Delta Junction, AK

I loved this recipe. I didn't do the last step of baking it with the cheese on top for lack of time, but it still tasted great. I think I will use half the salt required because it tasted a little salty to me (don't know if the last step of baking helps with that). But it was a sure winner.

    Not what I expected!

    Nicole Emel from RANSOMVILLE, NY

I made this really having high hopes because of the great reviews but I was REALLY disappointed! It was, to say the least, AWFUL! It was more of an extreemly bland cream sauce rather than a cheese sauce. I even tried to add more cheese but the milk flavor took over.

This old fashioned recipe has got to be the best baked macaroni and cheese recipe. Sometimes I add a little chopped up carrots to give it more color and the carrots do not take away from the flavor at all. And the kids love it!
