It's really yummy!
I have been enjoying a similar recipe since I was a kid because we have an avocado tree, but I had to try this exact recipe as well since I haven't used lime before. You can also use chilled all purpose cream or plain yoghurt (if you're on a diet) and use honey instead of sugar. I am glad this recipe is featured now so others can enjoy it as well.
VERY GOOD AND INTERESTING. SURPRISING HOW DELICIOUS THIS DRINK IS. WILL EXPERIMENT WITH ADDED FRUITS.
I kept going back and looking at this recipe but had my doubts....well its like the old saying goes.....try it you'll like it!!! I was blown away by the richness and flavor of this drink. I love avocadoes any way you serve them and this is definitely one of the best ways to have them.
My husband, daughter and I have really been into smoothies this summer. My daughter was joking about different things to put in them one day and I suggested avocados. She thought that was grose. Well, the next day I found this recipe on this site. We tried them and Yum! We all enjoy these!
I had this last night to celebrate the 4th of July as I had worked hard all day (I work in retail) and was hot and tired! This was very refreshing!
This was an interesting recipe. I was surprised at how sweet it tasted, but because I substituted lime juice for the zest I thought that it needed a kick so I added lemon zest and then some crushed pineapples. I think that the pineapples ruined it. The texture was wonderful, and I will continue to experiment with other flavors to add.
Wow! That's the first thing that came out of my mouth. I hate avacados if eaten raw but I love Guacamole. I really wasn't sure if I'd like this or not. I actually let the evaporated milk chill for 8 hours while I was at work. And then right before it was served I added the ice cubes which I had froze earlier on that day. Instead of normal cubes, I added 2-3 drops of lime juice to each one before I froze them. For those of you who have a sweet tooth, add a little whip cream with a lime wedge. Delicious!!!!!
OK I know this doesn't look to swift (my first impression)but man it is wonderful, try a glass and believe me, you will want more. Hubby said it could use a little tequila, maybe we'll try it sometime. Do make it, and really enjoy!
