    Party Dessert Sandwiches

    Catherine Mealey from Lynnfield, MA

My DD and I rolled the edges in multicolored jimmies and she thought they were gorgeous enough for her b'day party! I thought the sprinkles did not add a lot of flavor and prefered minichips instead - but whatever makes the little ones happy!

    Bite-size Delights!

    Angie Conley from Meadville, PA

In order to enjoy a yummy dessert and keep the calorie intake smaller, I decided to bake smaller bite-size cookies and fill them with reduced fat vanilla ice cream. A 2 1/2 inch cookie dough scoop is the perfect tool to use in making smaller ice cream scoops. The cookies were awesome and loved by my two teenage, calorie-watching, daughters. Thanks Nestle! :)

    Favorite Ice cream "Sammies"

    Marie DeAngelis from Sunrise, FL

A great summer treat, these Ice Cream Sammies look and taste delicious. Easy to make, I like to keep some on hand in the freezer. My favorite are Chocolate Chip cookies with Vanilla ice cream, but the peanut butter cookies are great with chocolate ice cream. I'm going to make up a bunch using red white and blue swirled morsels for July 4th!

For my Mother's 75th birthday I took 20 various types of these sandwiches for her & her friends at her assisted living home. They were a big hit with everyone, but a few didn't get the kind they saw and wanted - the next time I'll make them all the same! This is a great little recipe - thanks!

    WOW, what a time saver

    Esti Bell from Cedarhurst, NY

I was having a party and ran out of ingredients. In my freezer I had some of the chocolate chip brownie cookie dough. I had my son run out to a 7-11 and buy ice cream and in half an hour I had an easy yummy dessert. No one knew I had not made the cookies from scratch. I made 30 mini cookies instead of full size. They were inhaled!

We used this recipe on the 4th for a last minute BBQ desert. We used the mini red, white, & blue chocolate chip ready to bake dough. While us adults cooked outside, the children assembled the cookies w/icecream. They were wonderful. The kids were so proud they help make a dish. I'm very glad for sites like this that offer great ideas.

these are so neat even the kids can make them by themselves. They also like putting different kinds of candies in the middle of them, like nerds and chopped up andes candies. They love the andes candies the best. Thanks for reminding me how much fun you can have with your kids and making a snack at the same time.

When I offered to bring a dessert for a backyard picnic I immediately went to this recipe and tweaked it by using White Chocolate Macadamia Nut Bars in addition to the cookie bar in the recipe. I also used chocolate ice cream and vanilla to have a choice of flavors , followed the recipe and this was the best refreshing dessert for both children and adults. Everyone loved this different treat.
