Welsh Rarebit and Grits Casserole

Ingredients

1 package (11-oz.) STOUFFER'S Welsh Rarebit, defrosted*
1 cup quick grits, prepared according to package directions
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup chopped green onions
2 eggs, slightly beaten
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1 clove garlic, minced

 

Directions

PREHEAT oven to 375°. grease 1 1/2-quart baking dish.

COMBINE welsh rarebit, grits, milk, green onions, eggs, butter and garlic in medium bowl. Pour into prepared dish.

BAKE for 50 to 55 minutes or until set and top is brown. Season with salt and black ground pepper.

    My family really loves this casserole. We eat it as a brunch or weekend breakfast dish with some cooked sausage or chopped cooked ham mixed in. I also sprinkle a tiny bit of sharp cheddar over the top.
