Sweeten evaporated milk with powdered sugar and a touch of vanilla before whipping it into a foamy topping for cocoa, pie or fresh fruit. A bit of gelatin will give it staying power for a beautiful presentation.

  • 1 cup NESTLÉ® CARNATION® Evaporated Milk
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

POUR evaporated milk into small mixer bowl; place beaters into mixture. Freeze for about 30 minutes or until ice crystals form around edge of bowl.

BEAT on high speed for 1 minute or until very frothy. Gradually add sugar and vanilla extract; continue beating for 2 minutes or until mixture is stiff. Serve immediately spooned over fresh fruit or your favorite dessert.

whipped carnation Evaporated Milk

I prefer using evaporated milk while cooking gravies and cream soups. Whipping cream is my first choice and cool whip as my second choice for desserts. Would use the other if I had no other choices.

Great whipped cream

I never knew Evaporated Milk would make a Topping that tasted so good. I used it to top Mississippi Mud Pie and it was a hit with my family who weren't aware how the topping was made.

Fresh, Fresh

I like making this topping because I know it's fresh. It's fast and easy to make. I also like to add food coloring when I'm topping different things. I use the paste coloring.

I would never have thought of it

I have made this whipped topping many times before. This is so creamy and delicious. I never would have thought to put it on oatmeal, but I am headed to the kitchen now to do just that!
