I prefer using evaporated milk while cooking gravies and cream soups. Whipping cream is my first choice and cool whip as my second choice for desserts. Would use the other if I had no other choices.

    A.K. LeFiles from ORACLE, AZ

I was looking for this specific recipe. I made a filling for cream puffs that was too sweet, so I wanted to cut the sweetness. I just whipped up the evaporated milk without the vanilla and sugar. It did the trick. I will be keeping a can of evaporated milk on hand just for this purpose.
