Very good, very easy. I even tried canned mandarin oranges. Put the oranges in the fridge, drained them and blotted dry as much as possible. Put in freezer a few minutes, then dipped in chocolate. Make sure oranges are dry. After dipping put back in freezer. When ready...eat until they are gone. Won't be hard to do.

Made this treat with strawberries, raspberries and apples. The kids got a kick out of eating the fruit that was coated with white chocolate. Also tried melting regular chocolate chips and coating the fruit and that went over even better. Thanks for the recipe.

I tried for the first time dipping my strawberries in white chocolate. We have a girl at work that is allergic to milk chocolate, so it is a nice change and they still look beautiful. I also drizzle white chocolate over my milk chocolate dipped strawberries to give them a better finish look.

I made this for Valentine's dessert. It was very good, but the chocolate seemed too thin. I made it a second time with similar results. Maybe I will decrease the amount of shortening next time to see if that helps. My husband thought they tasted great. I just wanted them to look as good as they tasted!

    Easier than Fondue

Dina F. Bakken from WICHITA FALLS, TX

My bestfriend just recently bought a new Fondue pot, and we tried it with white and reg. chocolate. It was fun, but very messy. Then, I remembered the White dipped fruit recipe from Nestle; and we tried it and found that it was sooo much simpler than constantly redipping fruit. Sweet and tart, but NOT AS MESSY! We're planning on using it for the next Wine Tasting party we have coming up. Thanks!!!

This was very easy to do. My only comment is when dealing with fresh fruit make them as close to the event as possible. Also be sure to get them as dry as possible. The shelf life is very short.
